Developing Blog Posts Workshop for Women Engineers, with Write/Speak/Code

posted in: ones and zeros | 0

I’m leading a workshop for Write/Speak/Code NYC on Thursday, August 27! Info below.

Sign up here!

Blogging: it helps the community, improves your programming, demonstrates your expertise, helps you land your next job – what isn’t there to love?

By the end of this meetup, you will:

  • Generate 20+ topics
  • Outline and draft a blog post
  • Get feedback from peers

Bring your laptop, bring your friends, and leave with a head start on your next blog post!

Also, we’re trying something new: giving a couple folks the chance to give their lightning talks in a nice, safe environment. (Message us if you’d like to speak at a future meetup!)

As always, there will be vegan- and gluten-free-friendly food and beverages, as well as time for socializing, from 6:30-7pm.

Please note: this is an event only for software developers who identify as women. We define “software developer” as anyone who has written a line of code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Java, whatever) and can explain what it does.

Sometimes it’s good to have a little kick in the pants to work on something! I’m looking forward to working with you all!
